An individual student in a collective environment
By joining LyFEL, an individually enrolled student also becomes part of a community. The majority of the work is done through video conferencing. Our students are guided and supervised by caring and available teachers with whom they communicate through our platform.
Online classes give them the opportunity to work with other students studying the same program as them in the same time zone. LyFEL operates like a traditional school: a class, classmates whom they meet several times a week during video conferences, a main teacher, subject teachers, report cards…
How to enroll as an individual student?
Before enrolling as an individual student, we invite you to register and attend a LyFEL presentation webinar with your child to learn about the program, its workload, and get answers to all your questions. You can also contact us directly to ask your questions.

The procedure for placement tests for an individual student
LyFEL placement tests last between 30 and 60 minutes and are presented in multiple-choice format. They assess the student’s level of French and mathematics, as well as knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. The recommended minimum level to pass the test is between levels B1 to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The individual student takes the test online under the supervision of an adult and receives the result by email. The test validates enrollment in a LyFEL class.
Depending on the level in which the family wishes to enroll their child and the results obtained in the tests, an interview may be offered to decide on the best choice for the student.
